Stylish cafes to dress up for(2/3) Daikanyama town for sophisticated people
Daikanyama, lined with shops selling kids clothing and strollers, is popular among fashionable mothers, and is evolving into a place where adults can go to relax. We went on a search for stylish cafes in this town of sophisticated adults.
As the name suggests, Chano-ma is a cafe which makes you feel as if you're relaxing in the chano-ma (living room). This Daikanyama cafe is replete with services and a menu that mothers appreciate such as a vegetable-centered menu, decaffeinated drinks, and a nursing room. The cafe also offers mother-child yoga and massage workshops, photo sessions by a professional photographer, and much more .
The koagari (raised floor) seating area is safe for babies for crawling or lying down!
The at-home feeling combined with the stylish atmosphere is the secret behind the café's popularity.
The "Shun-yasai no Vegetable Plate" comes with seasonal vegetables, caponata, and mushroom marinade (1,388 yen, excluding tax). The bread and drink buffet is included with all items on the lunch menu.
The "Avocado Rare Cheese" consists of the refreshing taste of rare cheese blended with the mellow flavor of avocado (649 yen, excluding tax). It comes with your choice of one flavor of ice cream which is also a nice touch.
The most popular item on the menu is the "Noen-fu Mille-Feuille Lasagna" (1,435 yen, excluding tax), which is made only of vegetables, including pumpkin, zucchini and eggplant. The richness of the cheese gives this dish extra heartiness.
High chairs (for children over 6 months) are also available
for table seating. Customers are also welcome to use their strollers inside the cafe.

A long time ago, mocha coffee originating in Yemen was cherished as "Arabian Wine."
The mocha coffee beans procured from coffee plantations all over Yemen each have a distinctive aroma and flavor.
Every nook and cranny is put to good use in this long and narrow cafe. The building has an entrance at both ends, and with the exception of
the wall behind the counter, glass panels cover the sides of the building creating the delightful sensation of being in a sunroom.
The coffee beans are ground upon your order and brewed by hand, resulting in a highly fragrant cup of coffee.
"Mt. Somarah Mocha" (1,000 yen, including tax) has a mellow flavor similar to red wine.
Besides the Middle Eastern sweets, baklava and dates, the café also serves orange pistachio cake,
carrot cake and other homemade sweets.
The hand-drawn map of the world, Arabic calligraphy, and
the antique coffee cups are some of the simple features of this cafe that give it its original sense of style.
