No equipment no problem! A slope with convenient direct access to a Shinkansen station.Gala Yuzawa (Niigata Prefecture)
Gala Yuzawa is the only slope where the Shinkansen station and the ski center are directly connected. With close access to the city center, this snow resort is so close to the station you can step into a gondola right after stepping off of the Shinkansen. The resort boasts one of the top rental shop in the nation with the latest items in stock, allowing you to enjoy the ski life without cutting corners in looking cool.
The rental shop is fully stocked with an array of the latest items for women who want to look both cute and stylish while having a blast on the slope! The Minakami Kogen Ski Resort is rich in snow activities that will please everyone, even beginners who don't yet have much confidence in their skiing or snowboarding abilities. You can experience a dog sled or try many other ways to have fun and ride around the snow-covered mountain.

Rusutsu Resort (Hokkaido)
Rusutsu Resort is surrounded by the Shikotsu-Toya National Park and has some of the best slopes in Hokkaido with 37 courses on 3 mountains. From the summit you can experience the amazing view of the ridgelines of the beautiful Mount Yotei (also known as Ezo Fuji for its resemblance to Mount Fuji) and look over the mystic Lake Toya. Because many foreign travelers travel here, most facilities are available in English and this comfortable resort also has foreign currency ATMs.
Outdoor activities such as dog sledding, horseback riding, and snowmobiling are available - even those who don't ski or snowboard can enjoy the beautiful snow. Enjoy the romantic winter view of Lake Toya on horseback. Horseback Riding: Lake Toya Winter Course - 30 minutes (2 hours including travel time) 5,400 yen for adults.
