No equipment no problem! A slope with convenient direct access to a Shinkansen station.Gala Yuzawa (Niigata Prefecture)
Gala Yuzawa is the only slope where the Shinkansen station and the ski center are directly connected. With close access to the city center, this snow resort is so close to the station you can step into a gondola right after stepping off of the Shinkansen. The resort boasts one of the top rental shop in the nation with the latest items in stock, allowing you to enjoy the ski life without cutting corners in looking cool.
Just 1 hour and 17 minutes from Tokyo Station. Once you leave the exit you'll see the ski center! It's so comfortable and convenient you could relax in your seat and take a nap both coming and going!
Fully equipped with large lockers convenient for those arriving for a day trip. It's also possible to pick up or drop off items throughout the day.
The rental shop is fully stocked with an array of the latest items for women who want to look both cute and stylish while having a blast on the slope! The Minakami Kogen Ski Resort is rich in snow activities that will please everyone, even beginners who don't yet have much confidence in their skiing or snowboarding abilities. You can experience a dog sled or try many other ways to have fun and ride around the snow-covered mountain.
Try sledding down the hill in a raft pulled by a snowmobile and feel the thrills as you slide from side to side! It's fun as a group activity, with a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children per sled.
You can really feel the speed by lying chest down on an airboard and sliding down the hill. Even beginners can enjoy this activity without trouble just by listening to a one-hour lesson by an instructor.
The Ski Bockerl is a totally new type of sports gear invented in Germany.Enjoy a fresh new riding experience.It's nothing like sledding!
The kids park includes the Bowler Carousel,a merry-go-round on the snow that is sure to please kids from 1 to 5.
On a special course kids can safely experience snowmobiling. It's simple to operate - just acceleration and brakes. This activity allows everyone to experience the exhilaration of racing around on the white snow!
The nearby Minakami Kogen Hotel 200 has a large communal bathing area. In a nearby building there is also a scenic open-air bath where you can experience the great outdoors in its glory in all four seasons.

Rusutsu Resort (Hokkaido)
Rusutsu Resort is surrounded by the Shikotsu-Toya National Park and has some of the best slopes in Hokkaido with 37 courses on 3 mountains. From the summit you can experience the amazing view of the ridgelines of the beautiful Mount Yotei (also known as Ezo Fuji for its resemblance to Mount Fuji) and look over the mystic Lake Toya. Because many foreign travelers travel here, most facilities are available in English and this comfortable resort also has foreign currency ATMs.
The high quality snow known as Japow (Japanese powder) is one of the reasons visitors from around the world are captured by the charm of this resort.
