In the drinking alley one step away from the main street, is an entertainment district with little shops crowded together. There are drinking alleys that started as post-war black markets, and newly built drinking alleys as part of area regeneration. The appeal of the drinking alleys lies in having a good time with the strangers next to you, barhopping , and having a carefree time. This time, we introduce the drinking alley that's said to have propelled the drinking alley culture forward and caused a boom: "Ebisu Yokocho" (Ebisu Drinking Alley)!
This drinking alley, that opened in 2008 and is called "Neo Yokochō", has all the fun adults living in Tokyo are looking for. Various kinds of establishments are gathered here, from Japanese-style bars to sushi restaurants and bistro's,and with a wide range of customers and lively shop attendees there's always a festival-type atmosphere in the air.
Also appealing is that most establishment also deliver to other places in the drinking alley, so you can enjoy the taste of various establishments at once.

Enjoy fresh seafood supplied daily from Tsukiji at this Japanese-style bar. Enjoy the best taste the day has to offer with carefully selected, seasonable ingredients. You end up drinking a lot too as you watch the fish being enthusiastically handled in front of you.
The seats are strewn across the street, giving off a feel like the temporary seating at a beach hut or festivals. The tables, like a patchwork of plywood boards, and the beer case chairs have a well-used and superbly glossy feel to them.
