Our report on SHISEIDO THE GINZA

SHISEIDO THE GINZA is a comprehensive beauty facility opened by Shiseido in May 2011. Here you'll find over 60 Shiseido Group brands all under one roof. There are also professional hair, make up artists, and photographers at your disposal. It's like a beauty theme park! We'll be going through each floor of this must-see spot for women!

Everything from regular products to the latest colors - The 1st Floor is home to make up and cosmetics!

The MIRAI MIRROR reflects the rouge and eyeshadow in just the right spot, making it the perfect reference for applying make-up!
You'll often find English and Chinese speaking staff walking around the floor, and there are Chinese (simplified) store guides as well. International travelers will find shopping easy!

Ginza Chuo-dori is lined with department stores like Mitsukoshi and Matsuzakaya, popular apparel shops like Abercrombie & Fitch, and other luxury brand stores. Here on this fashionable strip stands SHISEIDO THE GINZA, a magnificent structure reflecting the technology and global power of Shiseido. The store is divided into three floors, giving it some 825m2 of sales floor space.

The 1st floor, the Beauty March, was designed to let you "get to know" cosmetics (shown in the photo above). All the glass gives the floor a sense of openness, and like a march (market) you can freely touch and hold the cosmetics. A key feature is that the cosmetics are arranged by concept and color rather than brand. This makes it easy to find the cosmetics you're looking for, and gives you a chance to "get to know" other product brands you've never tried!

A fun feature to add to your shopping experience on the 1st Floor is our MIRAI MIRROR make-up simulator. You scan the barcode for lipstick, for example, at the terminal and it reflects your image back with the product on. This lets you try on all the make-up you like without the trouble of having to remove it. But of course you can also actually try on make-up as well. Find the color that's just right for you!

Don't Miss These on the 1st Floor Beauty March As Well!

At the back of the floor you'll find four small rooms with a world view from popular brands. These are "Majolica Majorca" rooms. Open the dresser doors to find cosmetics and classical accessories! You can try on all the cosmetics you'd like.

MAQuillAGE, the popular make-up brand! The Essence Glamorous Rouge released in 2011 sells for JPY 2,415 each (researched by editor, products displayed in front of the ad). Give your lips a soft, glamorous look.

We also sell seasonal and original goods and accessories. Pictured are cute mini tote bags with logos (JPY 2,100 each). These unique goods make excellent gifts!

On the 2nd Floor You'll Find Professional Hair and Make-up Service. Come Discover The New You!

Make-up: JPY 3,675, Hair Styling: JPY 3,150, Portraits: JPY 10,500, Group photos (2 - 4 people): JPY 18,900. Photos are ready at the earliest 60 minutes after shooting. Reservations are recommended.

Ever wanted a profession make-up to make you look your best? BEAUTY BOOST BAR is the answer! Located on the 2nd Floor, it is a professional hair styling and make-up salon. Professionals with wide-ranging experience in magazine and fashion photography do all of our styling. Let their expertise bring out your best look today.

After your make-up session you can get your photo taken at the adjacent Shiseido Photo Studio. Whether you're going for feminine or casual, our photographers will help you choose your pose and capture that perfect look. Up to 4 people can have their photo taken at a time, making it ideal for commemorative photos for couples, mothers and daughters, or just good friends.

And at the ESPACE CLE DE PEAU BEAUTE on the 3rd Floor you can get help selecting cosmetics, or get a beauty treatment. We also offer beauty lessons for a fee. SHISEIDO THE GINZA is happy to provide all the services that women need. Stop in and come discover a new you!

Can Pros Really Make A Difference? See For Yourself!

Here, our model has applied her own make-up. She said, "I always apply make-up the same way, so it usually ends up casual. I have double eyelids, but they're hard to see, and my left and right eyelids aren't symmetrical, so I have a tough time with make-up.

We offer BENEFIQUE, a popular skin care brand using Japanese and Chinese plant extracts. BENEFIQUE is said to be popular with Chinese women as well. BENEFIQUE NT skin lotion sells for JPY 4,200 (researched by editor).

At the Dressing Table powder room, you can relax and apply make-up yourself. (30 minutes starting at JPY 840) You can use the cosmetics provided, and there's even an area to wash your face or change.
